Pet grooming by an experienced groomer with a commitment to excellence.
Grooming is more than just a bath and a haircut, it is a part of the total
health care of your pet. And we honor your pet's experience in the matter.
Pets with special needs are catered to in our low volume, low stress
operation.
We know your breed! Our caring professionals know the correct presentations
of nearly all breeds, and we are willing to learn those that might be new to
us. Owner-Operator, Barbara Bird, has been grooming for over 30 years,
having learned through apprenticeship to local legend, Bill ("Scissorhands")
North, and has been attending clinics, seminars and training to constantly
improve and develop skills. Barbara is a current member of the National Dog
Groomers Association (NDGA), the International Society of Canine
Cosmetologists (ISCC), and the Arizona Professional Pet Groomers Association
(APPGA). She is certified with NDGA in Non-Sporting Breeds.
Terriers are a specialty, including Schnauzers, Wire Haired Terriers,
Scotty, West Highland White, Airedales, and not forgetting Bedlingtons,
Welsh, Irish and Australian. We hand strip or obtain a handstripped look.
Our scissor work and styling ranks among the best in the area. We will make
your Bichon Frise look like a BICHON! Our work has style, whether it is
traditional breed trims, or mixed breed custom work. We care how your pet
looks.
Our salon features state-of-the-art stress reducing equipment such as
Hydrosurge bath, Artmaster Clipper Vacuum system, and over-the-table LIPS
full support grooming supports. We easily accomodate dogs that need a
little extra patience or special handling, whether it be from medical needs
or because they "have issues."
Cat grooming is embraced. We practice owner-assisted cat grooming if owners
think their pet would do better with them present. Cat grooming is loving,
firm, and quite swift. (The best way to bathe a cat? FAST!)

Schnauzers were the first breed I learned to groom.
They often come in pairs. When they live together, they start to look alike. This is either Heidi or Schatzie Grace in a short pet trim.

Puppies like little Yeti are
given exxxtra special care and a loving beginning to the grooming part of
life. Our emphasis is on getting acquainted with the groomer and the
procedures. It is really best when puppies come for their first grooming
around 12-16 weeks old. This is the best time for all socialization to
occur. A special puppy session will last only an hour or two at the most. |
